We’re getting excited for our first-ever Accessibility Open Day! 🌟
And we’re extra excited to share some of the brilliant free activities you’ll be able to enjoy on the day:
✨ Meet the Forest of Dean Dementia Action Alliance
Chat with the FODDAA team and learn more about dementia awareness and the support available locally.
🎨 Creative activities with Canopy Creative Network
Meet the Canopy team at their stand and take part in creative art activities. They will also be sharing information about their maps and guided walks.
🗺 Inclusive guided walks with Wilde Earth Journeys
Enjoy guided strolls along the Glade Trail, led by a walk leader using a mobility scooter. Walks will run in the morning and afternoon (times to be confirmed).
♿ Free all‑terrain mobility scooter taster sessions
Try out an all‑terrain mobility scooter, supported by Countryside Mobility Hire Scheme. One-hour sessions are available to book throughout the day.
🛞 Adapted cycling with Goals Beyond Grass
Have a go on a range of adapted cycles suitable for different abilities and needs. You can also learn about their ongoing accessible cycle hire sessions at the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre - Forestry England.
Whether you’re exploring, discovering new activities, or simply enjoying a welcoming day among the trees, we’d love to see you there: www.forestryengland.uk/accessibility-open-day-beechenhurst
