**Title:** Effect of intermittent fasting 16:8 and 14:10 compared with control-group on weight reduction and metabolic outcomes in obesity with type 2 diabetes patients: A randomized controlled trial

**Design & Methods**
This 12-week RCT was carried out at the Outpatient Clinic, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University Hospital, Thailand, from November 2021 to September 2022. 108 obese participants with type 2 diabetes, aged 30–60 years, were enrolled and randomized into three arms:
- Intermittent fasting (IF) 16:8 (16-hour fast, 8-hour eating window)
- IF 14:10 (14-hour fast, 10-hour eating window)
- Control group (normal diet, no fasting)
Each intervention group followed its fasting protocol 3 days a week for 3 months. A total of 99 participants completed the study.
