I think deconditioning is like gardening.

Sure, I can put new plants in my garden. Spend hundreds (cough) of dollars adding in more yarrows, coneflowers and monardas.

But if I don’t dig out the quack grass and thistles (ie conditioning), what are the chances that the new frequencies those plants can bring in will actually be able to take root?

And even if they can ~ they are just going to be bullied out of my garden if I neglect the other things trying to take over.

Stepping into your authenticity is just like gardening.

Dig out the invasives and give your garden a chance to freaking bloom!

One of the biggest buzzwords in Human Design is “deconditioning.”

And honestly?

I think it scares a lot of people off.

Because it sounds like:
✨ fixing yourself
✨ healing every wound
✨ becoming someone completely different
✨ spending 7 years locked in a spiritual escape room trying to become “aligned”

No thank you.

But the more I’ve worked with Human Design, plants, flower essences and nervous system patterns… the more I’ve come to realize that deconditioning isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about peeling back the layers that were never yours to begin with.

The pressure.
The urgency.
The people pleasing.
The burnout.
The “shoulds.”
The feeling that everyone else knows what’s right for your life more than you do.

THAT’S the work.

So I’m starting a brand new series exploring deconditioning through the lens of:

🌿 herbs
🌿 flower essences
🌿 embodiment
🌿 nervous system patterns
🌿 and practical grounded support

And honestly? I’m really excited about where this is headed.

There aspects of herbalism that are expected and well understood. Studying, harvesting, medicine making and practical application into your life.

When we welcome plants into our lives, these are the things we expect.

A library of books. Baskets of herbs. Jars of concoctions. Experimenting with different combinations to find just the right remedy.

But it’s the unexpected aspects of herbalism that break you open. Cracking the hard exterior shell and asking you to show up in ways that you might not understand or expect. In ways that aren’t always easy.

Opening your mind to plants will enrich your life.

Opening your soul and heart to plants will align you with your mission.

I started studying herbal medicine because I didn’t want to be sad anymore. I wanted to heal my nervous system.

Little did I know the path they would lead me down.

A path to deep healing. True embodiment. And total surrender to my work and mission.

And it hasn’t been easy. Those pretty baskets of herbs and apothecary tables filled with jars of all shapes and sizes ~ those are just masks.

The real work is messy and hard.

The real work asks you to trust while not always having understanding.

I know now that healing bodies is only part of the story of humanity. A necessary part, yes, but not the whole puzzle.

Because if we want to shift the trajectory of this world, we need to heal our hearts and souls alongside our bodies.

I’ve been asked if I’m closing down my YouTube channel or stepping away from my work. I’ve hinted at change and of course, that makes people nervous. I understand.

But the plants are not leaving. Herbal medicine is not leaving. The work that shaped me and introduced thousands of people to this path is still deeply woven into everything I do.

What’s changing is the depth.

Because the path unfolding before me now asks for something bigger than information alone. Bigger than protocols and remedies.

It asks for remembrance. Embodiment. Trust. Devotion.

And I think… perhaps that was where the plants were leading me all along.

I almost burned my business to the ground this week.

Not because it was failing.
Not because I had a sudden moment of clarity.

Because I was deep in the low of my emotional wave…
and also got hacked 🙃

It was equal parts panic, paranoia, and “welp, guess this is my villain origin story.”

But it ended up being one of the clearest lessons I’ve had on emotional regulation.

If you’ve ever:
– questioned everything in a low moment
– wanted to blow up your life on a random Tuesday
– or made a decision you later thought “huh… that was dramatic”

Let’s talk about sleep.

Because if there’s one thing that seems to unite a lot of us… it’s that sleep can feel weirdly elusive.

Most of my clients struggle with it in some way — not falling asleep, waking in the night, or just not feeling rested no matter how long they’re in bed.

When my son was born, my definition of “well-rested” shifted immediately.

Anything more than two hours of sleep in a row felt like a win.
And friends… he didn’t sleep through the night until he was 3.

So yes — I knew what sleep deprivation felt like.

But here’s the part that caught me off guard…

Why couldn’t I sleep once he was sleeping?

Why was I:
🌙 Waking up with my mind racing
🌙 Waking up at 3am for no clear reason
🌙 Living off caffeine
🌙 Dragging myself through the day
🌙 Dreading bedtime because sleep wasn’t guaranteed

If this is you — I see you.

Because this was my reality for a long time.
So long that it started to feel normal… and fixing it kept getting pushed to the back burner.

But here’s the piece most people aren’t talking about:

Sleeplessness isn’t the root problem.

It’s a symptom.

And the reason your body is expressing that symptom might be completely different from someone else’s.

Which is why:

the supplements
the melatonin
the deep breathing
even the chamomile tea

…aren’t always cutting it.

Cue frustration.

Because you’ve tried things. And nothing seems to stick.

I’ve had Instagram and Facebook back on my phone for less than 24 hours.

I thought I had my energy managed.

I thought I could handle having these apps back on my phone.

But oh boy… did I slip back into scrolling behaviours like an old pair of jeans.

One of the reasons I walked away from social media for a time was because of my open centres in my Human Design chart (if this interests you, come hang out on my Substack 😉).

To ground that into normal human speak…

I have a lot of openness in my chart, which means I’m more susceptible to conditioning and programming in those areas.

Basically… I’m easily swayed.

And during my first scroll session back in the land of socials, this is what I learned:

GLP-1 medications are safe and effective and being skinny is the bees knees. Everyone is doing it!

The Artemis II mission is totally fake and they are lying to us.

Both Jim Carrey and Angelina Jolie are probably robots now.
But if you think they are, you are a conspiracy theorist so don’t do that. That’s bad.

I need to eat 200 grams of protein daily.
But if I do that, I’m also a terrible human being contributing to climate change via cow farts.

I absolutely must have a certain pair of jeans and purse. They are just so cute.

My progesterone is likely too low.
Or my estrogen is high.
Or both. 🤔

I should only focus on one thing because I’m a Projector.

And none of the above matters anyway because of Agenda 2030.
We’re all doomed, going to die, and there is no point to any of it.
YAY. 🎉

No wonder my nervous system was fried. 🙃

Friends… this is what we’re inputting into our systems on a regular basis.

And what our kids are inputting into their systems on a regular basis.

I maintain that we were never meant to receive this level of information.

And some of us are far more susceptible to the programming than others… which makes this even harder to navigate.

So the long and short of it is… I genuinely don’t know if I can do this.

Do I have the willpower to NOT pick up my phone?

To use it to stay connected with all of you beautiful humans… without completely frying my nervous system in the process?

Because I do have things I want to share.

I haven’t just been sitting around twiddling my thumbs over here 😏

I started a Substack.

And I have a (very good, if I do say so myself) masterclass on sleep coming out that you’re going to love.

So… time will tell.

The apps are staying on my phone over the weekend.
And if I turn into a stressed-out zombie by Monday, we’ll be having a reassessment.
