Wow what a great turn-out for our first drop-in session at Sandfields Community Garden. 12 participants joined us for The Garden Meet-Up, our summer programme of drop-in sessions.

Jody led up in some Tai Chi for some gentle movement, then we did a bit of foraging talking about our favourite plants/flowers, and finished off with making Gardeners hand cream. A lovely morning!

Our next session is Friday 19th June 10am-1pm at Sandfields Community Garden, meeting fortnightly all summer.

If you live in the Afan cluster and would like to join us, contact Gemma [email protected] 07481 073468 (call/message/Whatsapp)

Weeks 1 and 2 of Heritage Crafts for Wellbeing @ Gwynfi Miner's Community Hall 🌲

On our first session we worked with leather, creating beautiful bookmarks, keyrings, and motifs. On Week 2 we tried our hands at strawcraft practising different types of weaves and creating harvest tokens. Later today we will be continuing with another session of strawcraft (it's not too late to join!)

Sessions are 2-4pm at Gwynfi Miner's Community Hall participants must live in the Afan cluster to be eligible. Contact Gemma [email protected] 07481 073468 (call/message/Whatsapp) to book on.

This programme is all about practising traditional heritage crafts that are endangered or at risk of being lost should we not pass on these skills.

Our next 8 week programme is Heritage Crafts taking place on Thursdays 2-4pm at Gwynfi Miner's Hall. To get involved contact Gemma [email protected] 07481 073468
