H.A.S. Inc.

Providing services in Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Shelley, Blackfoot, Pocatello, Twin Falls, and Boise along with all surrounding areas. coordinates housing opportunities for persons with developmental disabilities. We staff our residential habilitation homes 24 hours a day with team members who are trained to meet the specific needs of each client. This support level is approved through the Department

of Health and Welfare as either High Supports (1 para-professional working with up to 3 clients) or Intense Supports (1 para-professional working with 1 client). SUPPORTED LIVING:
We also provide services to higher functioning and more independent clients in our supported living program. These individuals are approved for a lower level of support by the Department of Health and Welfare sometimes call “Hourly Supports”. We will come into the client’s home and provide staffing for a limited number of hours each day or each week.

- Elevating Individuals to Their Highest Potential -

SELF ADVOCACY:
Our goal for each of our clients here at H.A.S. is optimal independence. Every person we work with has a different level of growth that they can attain and each has a unique speed at which they can progress. In a team atmosphere we educate these individuals to gain a higher level of independence and learn to be able to advocate for themselves at the growth and speed that best fits their situation. BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT:
Our multiple disciplinary approaches and with professionals on our team, our services are uniquely structured to work with individuals with mild to extreme behaviors. Our Masters Level Behaviorist and our Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals develop client specific targeted goals to address behaviors of the client. These goals are worked on daily and are monitored and adjusted to ensure the highest level of effectiveness. RECREATION:
Everyone needs recreational activities to increase their quality of living! Each of our clients are able to get out a minimum of 3-5 times a week (though 2 times daily is encouraged) to take part in activities that they love and that are crucial to their independence, rehabilitation and their social interaction. EMPLOYMENT SERVICES:
Earning and maintaining gainful employment are foundational H.A.S. principles and key to a successful client. We coordinate with The Department of Vocational Rehabilitation in assisting those we serve in finding a job. “VocRehab” provides many educational and employment opportunities that we can assist our clients in accessing and help in traversing the often complex process.

Change can feel overwhelming for individuals with IDD and the families who support them, especially during transitions involving services, routines, providers, employment, or long-term planning. That’s why having trusted, compassionate support matters so much.

We believe families deserve guidance, encouragement, and person-centered support every step of the way. Our teams work to help individuals build independence, strengthen community connections, and continue moving toward meaningful goals with dignity and confidence.

No family should feel like they have to navigate these decisions alone. 🧡

Every voice deserves to be heard. 🧡

Moments like this remind us why encouragement, respect, and advocacy matter so much. Confidence grows when people are supported in speaking up and being themselves.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to live, work, and build our communities with freedom and purpose.

We are forever grateful. ❤️

Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day - a reminder that access is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. 💙

Accessibility helps ensure that everyone can fully participate in the world around them -online, in their communities, and in everyday life.

We believe inclusion starts with intention - creating environments, services, and opportunities where individuals can thrive with dignity, independence, and meaningful support.

Let’s keep learning, improving, and building a more accessible world together.

Today is World Bee Day - a reminder of how something small can make a big impact. 🐝

Bees help sustain the environments we all depend on, just as support, connection, and care help individuals thrive.

Every act of care matters. 💙🩵🧡

Kindness can be simple, but its impact can be lasting.

A smile, a patient response, a helpful hand, or a moment of encouragement can change the tone of someone’s whole day.

What is one small act of kindness you’ve seen recently?
