ENDOMETRIOSIS & FERTILITY 🤰

One of the ways that endometriosis impacts fertility is through oxidative stress. Eggs damaged in an endometriosis environment will pause or stop in their maturation process. Some of that could be saved by adding antioxidants to the petri dish where the eggs are being held in lab settings. If not, the damage can be irreparable to the egg, and therefore the embryo/potential embryo, to overall fertility. ⁠Many studies also show that giving antioxidants to the patient themselves has benefits to egg quality. ⁠
