Love this post from Crohn's and Colitis Awareness . Sending love to all of our Warriors 💜

Today, we want to remind you to check in on the people in your life living with a chronic illness such as Crohn’s or Colitis.

The ones who are still smiling. Still showing up. Still saying “I’m fine.” Because looking well doesn’t always mean feeling well, and sometimes the people who have become the best at living with pain are also the best at hiding it.

If someone came to mind while reading this, send it to them 💜

If you could see what they carry… 💜
The pain.
The fatigue.
The uncertainty.
The surgeries.
The scars.
The treatments.
The complications.
The fear.
So much can be written on the outside of a person that nobody ever sees on the inside.
They may look fine.
They may smile.
They may keep showing up.
They may even say, “I’m okay.”
But behind that smile can be a battle that never gets a day off.
This is what chronic illness can look like when we give the invisible a voice.
Believe them.
Listen to them.
Be gentle with them.
Because you never truly know what someone is carrying beneath the surface. 💜

To my incredible IBD Warriors community—thank you for being here! Every like, share, and comment helps raise awareness, and whether you read along or leave a kind word, your support keeps this page alive. 💜
A few people have asked how to further support the page, so I wanted to share a little about Facebook Stars! Think of Stars as a small virtual "thank you"—like a tip jar that directly fuels the time and effort I put into creating content, and keeping this space running strong.
Sending Stars is completely voluntary and never expected—your everyday support already means the world. But if you’re ever in a position to send a few to go that extra step, please know it makes a genuine difference and helps keep this space going strong! 🌟✨

Behind every "I'm fine" is a story you might not see. This Chronic Pain Awareness Month, we’re shining a light on the invisible struggles that come with IBD and chronic illness. Pain looks different for everyone, but no one should have to navigate it alone. Send this to a fellow warrior to let them know they are seen. 💜

Sometimes, one of the hardest parts of living with IBD or chronic illness is the waiting. 💜
Waiting for answers. Waiting for clarity. Waiting to know what comes next.
And even when you're doing everything you can, that uncertainty can be exhausting in ways people don't always see.
If you're in that waiting place right now, please know you're not alone.
One appointment, one test, one day at a time. 💜

Sunday reminder, Warrior 💜
You don’t have to face the whole week at once.
Just take it one moment, one breath, one second at a time.
Whatever this week brings, you don’t have to walk through it alone. 🫶🏻
Together, we’ll get through it. 💜

You are not unreliable. Your health is unpredictable. 💜
Plans change. Appointments are missed. We sometimes have to cancel at the last minute.
Not because we don't care.
Not because we don't want to be there.
But because doesn't always give us a choice.
Be gentle with yourself, Warrior. 🫶🏻
