HEY 👋🏻

Ever been that person (my case, mom 😉) hushing their child, what feels like constantly!

Our spirited, loving and deeply-feeling children, are exactly this!

They experience the world through every deep connection and emotion!

They are not “loud” because they “know it agitates people”…

They are loud because of how much they are feeling in that moment or the high sensation of that emotion or feeling!

What could these feelings be? Every single one we know of…

The easy ones and of course the harder ones?
Excitement, joy, happiness or sadness, pain, anger, frustration…

We can try help guide them through it (this can feel quite difficult for us too, at times, as their parents or caregivers) but until we start becoming curious about this, it’s going to feel even more difficult for them and ourselves!

Emotional regulation is close to my heart and something play therapy really helps support.

As time allows I will be diving deeper into this much-needed area of our little one’s lives (and even ours) 💛🙌🏻

Often I am asked about screen time and if my eldest (turning 10) has a cell phone? No. Will she get one? Of course but not yet!

For now we should be creating parent pacts! (How wonderful) it is something that has been on my heart for a while…we always anxious because
“Who will stand with me on this”? Right!

Their brains are nowhere near ready for social media so let us understand the WHY!? So we can educate them WHY they are not ready for a cellphone, let alone social media 🥰

We do it for them 👧🏽👧🏼🧒🏼👦🏾 Always for them!
