My journey with Small Enterprise Development & Finance Agency - Sedfa didn’t start off easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I faced my fair share of challenges. But instead of giving up, I made a bold decision to change my business advisor and that’s when things began to shift.
Over the past two , walking this journey with Angelique Simon has truly transformed my business. I shared my vision with her, my needs, and where I wanted to go and step by step, that vision has been coming to life.
Through SEDFA’s support, I’ve received marketing materials twice, to the value of R20,000. They made it possible for me to finally have an outdoor signage board - something that felt out of reach at one point. They also guided me through a major transition: from a female-focused product business relying on imports, to a manufacturing business that caters to both men and women.
I’ve attended numerous upskilling workshops, but the one that changed everything for me was the exports workshop. We also got to partner with them to host our very own workshop alongside Everything Stationary.
Because of these opportunities, I was also able to share my business story at the SONA pre-breakfast hosted by the Department of Small Business Development.
And this month, Adore Her by G will be showcasing our products at our very first trade show at the CTICC, hosted by The Goodlife Show Africa - something I’ve dreamed about since day one.
Yesterday, I graduated from a mentorship program hosted by SEDFA and . And the truth is, none of this happened by chance. It happened because I showed up, asked questions, stayed consistent, and did the work.
It’s easy to compare your journey to someone else’s but remember, your day 26 can never be compared to someone else’s day 400. We move differently. Our industries are different. Our opportunities, networks, and partnerships are different. But success is possible for all of us.
