I went to SASHA, and honestly… it has taken me a few days to process it all. 🧡
It was an experience filled with memories, moments, there were so many times I was moved so deeply that I could do nothing but cry.
There was laughter. There was connection. There were moments so magical that I know I will carry them with me for a long time.
Interestingly, when I look back at the learnings that stayed with me, they weren’t always the research or the proposed protocols.
Some of the most valuable learning for me happened between the sessions. They came from the stories and from the rich conversations, my intention to connect.
From the speakers who bravely stood up in front of a room full of people and shared not only what they knew, but sometimes a piece of themselves.
They shared because they are passionate about this information being in the right hands.
This work isn’t only important to those of us who have made sexuality, relationships, fertility or health our professional passion.
This work matters to every single person.
The different professions matter, the stories that brought each of us into this work matter.
I think this is part of what I loved the most about SASHA, being in a space where so many different people, with different experiences, qualifications and reasons for being there, could come together and learn from one another.
It reminded me that healing is rarely linear, and it is rarely one-dimensional and somewhere in all of that, I was reminded of something I believe so deeply:
S*x is rarely about just one thing and one way to repair when something goes wrong.
It’s not one magic pill or protocol.
It’s not one blood test or diagnosis.
It’s not one practitioner, one profession, or one answer and perhaps that is why this work needs all of us.
Not because one is more important than another, but because no single lens can see the whole human being.
There is space for all of it and that’s what Be Well Today means to me, not finding one perfect answer but creating space for the whole human being. 🧡
