Guys, for piercing aftercare, it is this simple:
-Buy Sabax Saline in a solution from the pharmacy for R20-30 and it’s sterile, isotonic saline that you can’t go wrong with. Heat it up etc etc
-San-O-Tat is available as a great piercing aftercare in South Africa and I encourage that everyone gets one before they go on their piercing journey.
-Sterimar is a great wound wash saline in a sterile aerosol can be just as good as any branded saline piercing aftercare. This stuff is especially good for cleaning beneath surface anchors, after a soak with saline and some un-scented dental floss to gently clean underneath the surface anchor after your warm saline as undone the crust beneath, use the floss to remove and then spray the hell out of the disc at the base against the skin.
-Q-tips are great for removing crust but ONLY for removing crust at last resort, dental floss and gauze is preferable but if you can get the Softi with precision tips it should be fine for crust removal, but WATCH THOSE THREADS!
-the best soap to use for looking after piercings if you are choosing to use soap is Johnson & Johnson Top To Toe baby wash. This is great stuff for if someone wants to remove their crust with soap or clean in the shower. There is no further need for an antibacterial soap and there is nothing better than a spray of San-O-Tat after the shower
If you are gonna make your own salt water/saline it must be 1/4 teaspoon of salt maximum and it must be the most natural salt you can find. I like natures choice, but if you’re gonna do this I don’t see why you shouldn’t just buy a tub of SABAX saline. If you’re gonna use a salt solution you make yourself, try Dead Sea salt. That might be the only way there could be a benefit.
Love you guys ❤️❤️❤️
