As Biokineticists, we often see three common training mistakes:
1️⃣ Sudden spikes in volume or intensity — especially after inactivity — can overload tendons, ligaments, bones, and muscles.
A practical guideline: avoid increasing weekly load or intensity by more than 10–15%.
2️⃣ Ignoring technique for intensity.
Poor movement control increases joint stress and reduces efficiency. Strength development should support alignment and long-term progress — not compromise it. Quality over quantity.
3️⃣ Making recovery optional.
Adaptation happens between sessions. Key pillars include sleep, nutrition, hydration, and planned loading or deloading.
Most training setbacks aren’t caused by a lack of effort — but by poor load management, movement quality, and recovery.
If your training feels inconsistent or repeatedly interrupted by discomfort, a structured assessment can help guide safer progression.
