Equine-Librium is based in Plettenberg Bay in the Western Cape of South Africa and has specialised in the therapy of competitive sport horses and canines since November 2008. Equine-Librium College offers a fully comprehensive and veterinary based full-time academic & practical education within the field of animal physiotherapy. The clinic has animal physiotherapists and veterinary surgeons on cal

Achieving the best possible outcomes for every animal often requires the knowledge, experience, and expertise of multiple professionals working together. Veterinary physiotherapists collaborate closely with veterinarians, trainers, rehabilitation specialists, and other members of the animal healthcare team to support recovery, improve movement, manage pain, and enhance overall performance and well-being.

For our future veterinary physiotherapists, learning how to communicate, collaborate, and contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary team is an essential part of becoming a confident healthcare professional.

Our second-year students have been sharpening their practical skills with goniometry and muscle circumference measurements, essential tools in veterinary physiotherapy.

By objectively measuring joint range of motion and changes in muscle circumference, we can track progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and make informed decisions throughout a patient’s rehabilitation journey.
