Did you know willows are the fastest growing trees in the entire world.
They grow up to 3m in a single year.
People refer to it as "nature sponge" because it soaks up so much water, it even helps stop floods and even keeps the soil from washing away.

The willow wood is tough, lightweight wood and doesn't splinter so easy when bent so people use these to weave baskets and even make cricket & baseball bats.

In early spring, willow trees grow fuzzy little flower buds and these give bees their first sips of nectar and pollen after a long winter

Our elders chewed on the bitter willow tree bark to help cure pains and aches scientists later used that same extract natural ingredient inside the bark to invent modern aspirin.

That's the willow bark for you!
