98 YEARS YOUNG, AND STILL GOING STRONG! 😭❤️🌿
We were so privileged to welcome a beautiful 98-year-old granny to Siza’s Healing Station over the weekend, and honestly, meeting her was such a reminder of what healthy living can look like.
Born in 1928, she walked into our store with no walking stick, no glasses, no complaints about pain, and no memory issues. She told us she sleeps like a baby, is regular, and simply wants to maintain her health because she is willing to live for many more years! 🥹❤️
Naturally, I had to ask her: “Granny, what is your secret?”
She shared that she exercises, doesn't eat carbohydrates and that, at some point in her life, she had a good doctor who guided her towards a healthier lifestyle. She made those changes and never looked back.
Now, I know that everyone's body, genetics and health journey are different. But what really stayed with me wasn't just her age. It was her mindset and the importance of consistency.
We live in a society where being constantly tired, struggling with ailments and relying on medication has become so familiar that we sometimes stop questioning whether there are healthier habits we could adopt to support our wellbeing.
PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE - Healthy living deserves just as much attention as treating illness.
We cannot expect a lifetime of unhealthy habits to be undone by a 7-day detox, one bottle of sea moss or a miracle product.
There are no shortcuts to a healthy lifestyle.
It's the everyday choices. What we eat. How we sleep. How we move. How we manage stress. How we care for our bodies, consistently, over time.
Your body has the ability to heal itself, given the right conditions.
Meeting Granny has inspired me even more to stay on track with my own journey. Health isn't something we should only start thinking about when our bodies begin to struggle. It's something we should nurture while we can.
At Siza’s Healing Station, we believe in learning, making informed choices and building healthier habits one day at a time.
The goal isn't just to live longer. It's to enjoy the life we're living with no limitations. 🌿❤️
Granny, thank you for visiting us and sharing a little piece of your journey. You reminded me that wellness is a lifelong commitment, and I pray you enjoy many more beautiful years!
