Robotic knee surgery is a modern, computer-assisted knee replacement technique that helps surgeons operate with greater precision. It uses 3D imaging and robotic guidance to better match each patient’s anatomy, leading to less pain, more accurate results, and a faster recovery.

Returning to activity after an injury should always be done carefully. Your body needs to rebuild strength, balance, and confidence before resuming full movement.

If you can move without pain, maintain stability, and complete basic activities comfortably, you may be progressing well. Always follow professional guidance before returning to full activity.

The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is a key stabilising structure within the knee joint. It plays an essential role in maintaining joint stability during activities such as walking, running, and sporting movements.

ACL injuries typically occur as a result of non-contact mechanisms, including sudden deceleration, rapid changes in direction (pivoting), and improper landing from a jump. Direct trauma to the knee may also result in ligament disruption.

Patients with an ACL injury commonly present with acute pain, swelling, reduced weight-bearing ability, and a subjective sensation of instability or “giving way” of the knee.

Clinical diagnosis is based on a thorough physical examination and is often supported by imaging studies such as X-rays and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to confirm the extent of injury and assess associated intra-articular damage.

Recovery after joint surgery is not only about rest, but also about following the right habits that support healing. One of the most important steps is to follow your healthcare provider’s instructions carefully and attend all rehabilitation sessions.

Gentle movement as advised helps improve circulation and reduce stiffness. Good nutrition, proper rest and patience all play an important role in healing. Small consistent efforts each day can make a big difference in your recovery journey.
