Medical and Community Chaplaincy Medical and Community Chaplaincy is a South African organisation equipping men and women to serve as chaplains in hospitals, schools, communities etc.

We train you to deliver compassionate, holistic spiritual care — and deploy you where it matters most. Medical and Community Chaplaincy (MCC) is a South African training institution with a heart for people and a commitment to excellence in spiritual care. We believe that chaplaincy is more than counselling — it is the ministry of presence. Of sitting with someone in their darkest moment. Of bringing hope into hospitals, schools, correctional facilities, and communities that are often overlooked. If you feel called to serve — if you find yourself drawn to people in pain, to crisis, to grief, to the spaces where others feel uncertain — you may be called to chaplaincy. MCC trains and deploys chaplains who serve with compassion, integrity, and excellence. Our training equips you with the spiritual, emotional, and practical tools to serve effectively across diverse environments and institutions.

MCC National Chaplaincy Summit 2026 | Chaplaincy Awards

Join us as we honour those who serve. A day of fellowship, recognition and renewal for chaplains, ministry leaders, churches and partners in spiritual care.

Date: Saturday, 21 November 2026
Time: 10:00 (registration from 08:30)
Venue: Johannesburg, Gauteng (venue details will be sent to everyone registered)
Cost: R350 per person, meal included

🔥 FROM POLICE OFFICER TO CHAPLAIN: STILL SERVING ORANGE FARM

Chaplain (Pastor) Goodness Ntombi Sizani, a retired police official from Orange Farm, continues serving the community as a Medical & Community Chaplain and ordained pastor at Maranatha Church.

After more than a decade in policing, Sizani now supports victims of crime, patients and families facing traumatic situations through counselling, spiritual care and crisis support.

👮🏾‍♀️ The uniform may be gone, but the commitment to serving people continues. ❤️
