I’ve been deep in healing work for over 15 years, but that is just one aspect of who I am.
I grew up in Maine, USA. Most people stay there. It is beautiful, but I knew it wasn’t for me.
I started riding horses at age 6. Looking back, they absolutely saved me, and also taught me how to work with energy. I was a professional trainer from age 22-26. I competed in 3 day eventing and worked with race horses. It was my dream, but in the end I burned out and wanted a more life with more freedom.
I went back to school for social work at age 26. I was a social worker in poor communities in Richmond Virginia and Norristown & Philadelphia Pennsylvania. I loved the people but hated the 9 to 5 and bureaucracy. I dreamed of leaving the US. It took me 7 years to do it because of my student loans and work license.
Meanwhile I was an alcoholic since age 16. I thought it was part of being a “fun person.” I would binge on weekends and black out often. Looking back I was clearly in pain and trying to escape something. I started cutting back in 2018 for health reasons, and quit entirely in 2021. I won’t touch it now, I might as well be allergic.
I moved to Mexico in 2019, just months before Covid. At the time online therapy was not very accepted, but I was determined to live a life of freedom. My spiritual journey started soon after.
I have been DJing since 2018, seriously since 2022. It has been one of the most frustrating and rewarding relationships of my life. I could not quit even if it wanted to. I have tried to find a niche but I love so many kinds of music it’s impossible to choose. Instead I focus on how I feel and integrate it with the moment. I am very excited about producing and have been working on it slowly for a few years.
I accidentally started a Burning Man camp at AfrikaBurn in 2023. I had no idea what I was doing but had great mentors leading me. This role has transformed me through and through. I have now built an international community and pride us as being a “Matriarch Camp - with the nicest men we let hang out with us.”
My inner child is proud of me. And this is just the beginning 💫🌈🧨
