We are aware of the Uber robberies and attempted Uber robberies that have been taking place across Grassy Park and Lotus River.

🚨 COMMUNITY AWARENESS – PLEASE BE VIGILANT
When ordering an Uber:
• Please wait in a safe, visible and well-lit area for your driver to arrive.
• Ensure you are visible when your Uber arrives and confirm the vehicle and driver details before getting in.
• Avoid standing in isolated areas while waiting for your ride.
• Be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity.
The attacks on Uber drivers are also a serious concern. These incidents can happen within seconds, making it extremely difficult to predict when or where an attack may occur.

🚗 UBER DRIVERS – PLEASE STAY VIGILANT
We fully understand that driving for Uber is an important source of income for many of you. However, your safety must come first. Please remain vigilant when entering unfamiliar areas, especially when collecting passengers ,delivering or travelling to isolated locations .

📢 PLEASE REPORT ALL INCIDENTS
Whether you are a driver or passenger, please report all robberies, attempted robberies and suspicious incidents to the South African Police Service (SAPS).

Always request and keep your case/reference number.

Byond the Ballot 🗳 an event hosted on Sunday 16 August 2026.

Amongst this beautiful venue and the laughter in these pictures, the evening was nothing but fun and excitement.
Real life issues were raised. Trauma was felt in the room, challenges went out to these running for Mayor. Yes! Some were gibberish, however the raw questions were asked.
Many didn't receive the answers they wanted. Many questions could not be asked due to time restrictions.
As the Founder and CEO of Mindful Modification I too had or have many burning questions still. The injustice that is being done to our people. The young, the teens, adults and our Elderly parents.

I am no politician, I am just an ordinary person fighting for what is right and just.
The mocking and remarks for Ellen Pakkies leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Who are we to mock and to judge. Having said that, no 1 is too old to learn. "Om geskool" te word nie. To this day I still learn on a daily basis 💯.

Let us move beyond that wall 🧱 that seperates US.

Cape Flats Stories Voices on the Bridge

This is beautiful Ottery. A place I fell in love with for over a decade.
A community full of love for 1 another, but also a lot of Social Ills. Sadly also a place where many, many people, children lost their lives due to the hands of man.
Currently a very big RED ZONE 💔. Kids cannot play outside, having to duck and dive on their way to school and on their way home. Parents having to ask "Is it safe to come in. I'm on my way from work". A Community in Trauma and Fear. Also a Community where anger lingers. Sleeping on their floors instead of their beds. A community who cannot remember when they had a decent night's rest without the sound of gunshots.
The majority of those flats, including the Newly beautiful built RDP homes. A new start for many. So many broken windows 💔 due to stray bullets 😔 😢.

Yesterday we had a Street Imbizo with SAPS and CPF. Most welcomed them. Some extremely angry. Lots were said. Lots of questions raised. Whilst standing in Edward Road where most shooting happens the community came out and although they were happy to see SAPS visibility, I could also sense their fear.
This is not a NORM. This is also not a LIFE to LIVE.
I Pray 🙏 🤲 that the Community of Ottery becomes as it was named plus ➕️ minus ➖️ a decade ago 🙏

Thank you so much for all your prayers. There's power in prayer. There was no police and no law enforcement, but God was there protecting us tonight.

A few days ago I was asked to speak tonight in Bonteheuwel, this was after a mother of 3 was shot and killed. I agreed to speak at this event, which was on a field in Bonteheuwel.

After agreeing to speak, 4 children were shot, and then last night another person was shot.

Our communities are bleeding, so much needs to be done.
