💙 Sometimes making a difference starts with simply thinking of someone else.
Today, we want to give a very special thank you to Barbara from Just Property for making an incredible donation to Adonai House possible.
Barbara recently reached out to us about a furnished one-bedroom apartment belonging to her client, who was selling the apartment and could have sold the furniture along with it.
Instead, Barbara saw an opportunity to make a difference.
Her client didn't know about Adonai House. She had no connection to our organisation. It was Barbara who thought of us, made the connection, and facilitated the donation—and without her, this incredible gift would never have reached us.
Her client generously chose to donate the contents of the apartment to Adonai House rather than sell the furniture herself. We are deeply grateful for her generosity, but we also want to recognise the person who made that connection possible.

Thank you for recognising that something that may no longer be needed by one person could become something incredibly valuable to another.
The furniture will now be put to good use through our fundraising efforts, helping us generate much-needed income to support the families we walk alongside—families caring for children and young adults with severe disabilities.
This is what community looks like.
One person sees an opportunity.
Another chooses to give.
And together, something that could have simply been sold becomes an opportunity to create hope and support for families who need it.
