💜 Below is an image which shows the impact of extreme neglect on a child’s brain, compared to a normal child’s brain.

💜 Trauma and neglect can impact how the brain functions and how well developed it is. This is a child who has experience extreme neglect and I just thought it would be really interesting to show you.

💜 The way we strengthen the connections in our children’s brains is through positive relationships, playful experiences, positive touch, empathy and unconditional love.

💜 We are made to heal and our minds can heal too.
