When Nadia first told me she is going to offer Constellations training, we were sitting at St James beach. Thats a place of Holy water for our people. The Camissa mountain waters run into the Indian Ocean here. The beloved tidal pool gently hosting the multicultural lineages of the Cape in salty embrace. It is a rare and precious moment.

I thought she was crazy then, and I still do a little but I also know her medicine. Pathfinders are often touched with a necessary dose of crazy. Her facilitation takes you to the holy depths, while gently holding you in warm, trauma-informed container. For a woman of colour to offer a training in the South African Constellations field, is beyond brave. It requires risking reputational, economic and collegial network support. To be frank, if you do not have a white skin and deep pockets, offering a training of this kind in South Africa can pull one into turbulent waters.

I am putting this post out to show my wholehearted support to Nadia and also to call on the collegial Systemic Constellations field, and the wider network of practitioners doing generational repair work. There are 25 days to go before this training starts, and there are still some places available.

Here are some ways to take action in supporting the 1st woman of colour from South Africa to offer training in Systemic Family Constellations:
- Share the information such that all places get filled!
- Consider sponsoring or part-sponsoring places for BIPOC participants.
- Sponsor transport or food costs
- Cover the venue hire fees
- Or get in touch with Nadia and ask her what she needs to feel adequately resourced and cared for while she is offering this training. Her website link in comments.

Sometimes there are no easy fixes. Situations are painful, difficult and lonely to bear. Through witnessing the entangled family dynamics, just as they are, a vision for hope can emerge. We call warmth, beauty and tenderness into the knots of generational pain.

A little divined story: I’m officially a Heritage & Culture Guide! 🪪⭐️ 2 weeks into my arrival in McGregor a fully sponsored course was offered to residents interested in becoming Heritage guides. I didn’t feel any inclination to become a heritage guide at the time but my heart sense was that this is wonderful opportunity to get to know the village. While doing the course my head finally caught up with my heart. In putting together my portfolio I had the honour of hearing some of the excluded, marginalised stories of the people, land, and village. And I came to see the link between my ancestral healing work and heritage guiding. To walk the land in ritual, and witness the stories is an honour that I could never have planned myself. I bow to the divine orchestration of this constellation. Thank you for choosing me, thank you for planting me here. I am ready to serve 🙇🏽‍♀️🤎🌿👣
