Q***r Clay Social was a night to remember 😍

When The Sapphic Project agreed to doing a collab for this unique event, our dream was to create a fun night out for the Q***r community that wasn't just another bar or club. Part pottery workshop, part dinner & drinks...entirely joyful.

We wanted to create a safe space for Sapphics to connect, and create something with their hands...while also eating great food, enjoy a glass of wine and socialising with people they might never normally get to meet.

Mango Ginger agreed to host us at their charming restaurant in Observatory, and Infogaytion™ | Cape Town's LGBTQ+ Discovery Platform helped us get the word out.

The response was overwhelmingly positive, which just shows how much the Q***r and lgbtqia+ community have been yearning for something like this!

We hope to host another Q***r Clay Social soon, perhaps on a monthly basis. And with your support, we can ☺️

To everyone who came & participated, and those who helped or cheered from the sidelines...
..thank you from the bottom of my heart.
It means more to me than you could ever imagine ☺️❤️

Joy Factory & The Sapphic Project are proud to announce Cape Town's first Q***r Clay Social…

…a fabulous night of sculpting clay, sipping wine & socializing with other sapphics!

This isn't your average pottery class. And it's not just a good party....It's BOTH.

A celebration of creativity and q***r joy!!🏳️‍🌈

There’ll be welcome drinks, great food on special and a guided pottery demo, before we get our hands dirty & make our masterpieces.

Then it's time to turn the lights down and the music up and get the party started.

The Q***r Clay Social is a fabulous night of:

Sculpting clay, Sipping wine & Socializing with other sapphics, at a divine restaurant in the heart of Obz.

We've got the venue to ourselves for this private event, to ensure a Q***r-friendly safe space for us to connect and let our hair down.
 

Here's how the night goes:

·      Grab a welcome drink and mingle

·      Join a table, order dinner & get to know each other

·      Watch a short demo & learn some pottery basics.

·      Make your pottery masterpiece (the naughtier the better)

·      Vote for the night’s favourite creation and crown a winner

·      Stick around as the music gets louder and the party begins

·      Clay, materials and pottery tools

·      2 hours of guided instruction

·      Welcome drink from the venue
