If you've slowed down but still don't feel like yourself - this one's for you 🌿

So many women reach this point and assume something is just wrong with them. But a nervous system that's been under pressure for a long time doesn't reset the moment life gets quieter. It takes time, and it takes the right support.

You're not broken. You've just been carrying a lot.

Is this something you can relate to?

🔁 Stress and your cycle 🔁
When your body is under pressure, it doesn't separate "life stress" from physical stress. It all registers the same way. And one of the first systems to feel that is your reproductive system.

Cortisol (your main stress hormone) can suppress the signals that trigger ovulation and support progesterone in the second half of your cycle, which means that it can throw off a lot more than just your mood.

What catches a lot of women off guard is the timing. The disruption often shows up weeks after the stress itself - sometimes across two or three cycles. So by the time your period feels "off," you might not even connect it back to what you were going through a month ago.

If your cycle has shifted and you're not sure why, it's worth looking at the bigger picture. Not just the week before your period, but the last few months. What has your sleep been like? Were you eating enough? How long were you running on empty?

Your cycle keeps a record. Learning to read it is one of the most useful things you can do for your health.

If you're eating well, moving your body, and still gaining weight or struggling to manage it, please know you are not failing and you are not imagining it.

There are real, physiological reasons why your body might be holding onto weight, and most of them have nothing to do with willpower or discipline. Undiagnosed thyroid dysfunction, insulin resistance, elevated cortisol, low ferritin, and oestrogen imbalance are just some of the things that can affect how your body manages weight, and they are regularly missed on a standard blood panel.

This post outlines the tests worth asking about, not as something to navigate alone, but as a starting point for a more informed conversation with your doctor.

You deserve to be taken seriously, and your symptoms deserve a proper look.

If your anxiety feels like it lives in your body - tight chest, racing heart, that constant "on edge" feeling - this might be the missing piece nobody told you about. 🌿

Your vagus nerve is essentially your body's built-in off switch. It's the nerve that tells your nervous system: you're safe, you can rest now.

But here's the thing: when it's underactive (which is incredibly common in women dealing with chronic stress, hormonal shifts, or burnout), your body stays stuck in survival mode. That means:
→ Anxiety that won't budge
→ Bloating and digestive issues
→ Hormones that feel all over the place
→ Exhaustion even after a full night's sleep
The good news? You can actually train it. And it doesn't require anything expensive or complicated.

Here are 5 evidence-backed techniques that take minutes, and directly stimulate your vagus nerve and start shifting your body out of stress mode.

💬 Tell me in the comments - which symptom from that list resonates most with you?

PCOS has finally been renamed 🙌

As of this month, it’s now called PMOS, polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome, and if that feels like a big deal, that’s because it is.

For years, so many women were misdiagnosed, dismissed, or left without answers, partly because the name itself was misleading. Most people with PCOS don’t even have cysts. What the old name missed was the bigger picture: this is a complex hormonal and metabolic condition that affects your weight, your mood, your skin, your heart health, and so much more.

In holistic medicine, this is something we’ve understood for a long time. We’ve never just looked at the ovaries. We look at the whole person, the endocrine system, the metabolic health, the stress load, the gut.

This name change means more research, better diagnosis, and more women finally being taken seriously. That’s worth celebrating 💚

Genetic testing is one of the most valuable tools I use in practice - and once you understand what it can actually tell you, it's hard to go back to guessing.

I get asked about this a lot, so I finally sat down and wrote a full breakdown of what DNA testing can actually reveal about your health - covering everything from weight management and chronic disease risk to mental health, hormones, skin, and how your body actually responds to exercise.

The science behind this is genuinely fascinating. But more than that - it's practical. Every recommendation that comes out of a genetic test is built around your biology specifically, not what works for the average person.

Because you are not "the average person".

Drop "GENE" in the comments to get the link to the full blog post, or DM me if you want to chat about whether genetic testing might be useful for you. 🧬

The tests I've referenced throughout this post are from DNAlysis - the lab I use for genetic testing with my patients - which is why you'll see their specific test names mentioned.

“You are not inconsistent. You are cyclical” 🌿

Last night’s Understanding Your Cycle webinar was such a beautiful reminder of how powerful women become when they actually understand what’s happening in their bodies.
To every single woman who joined live - thank you 💚
Your questions, honesty and openness made it incredibly special.

We spoke about:
• The 4 phases of the menstrual cycle in simple, practical language
• Why your mood, energy and focus shift across the month
• What’s normal… and what’s not
• How to start noticing your own patterns

If you missed it, or you’d like to rewatch it, the full replay is now available on my YouTube channel (link in bio)

But here’s the real question…
Understanding your cycle is powerful.
Knowing what to do with that information? That’s where things change.

That’s why I created:
*✨Awareness to Action: Supporting Your Cycle in Real Life✨*
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about learning how to work with your body so you feel more steady, more capable, and more in control across the month.

Inside the programme you’ll get:
• The full 90-minute deep-dive training
• A 90-day implementation plan
• Monthly Q&A sessions over 3 months
• Practical tools to actually apply what you’ve learned

This is about moving from “I understand my cycle” to “I know how to support myself through it.”

Psst… we still have a few coupon codes left for early access 👀

If you’d like the details, comment ACTION below and I’ll send you the info.

And if this topic resonated with you, save this post or send it to a friend who needs it 💚

Your hormones aren’t dramatic.
They’re seasonal. 🌿

If you’ve ever thought:

“Why do I feel like a different person every week?”
“Why is my motivation so inconsistent?”
“Why do I smash goals one week and randomly cry the next?”

You’re not unstable.
You’re cyclical.

Your body moves through four internal seasons every single month - winter, spring, summer and autumn. And each one shifts your energy, mood, clarity, confidence and tolerance levels.

When you understand this pattern:
• You stop fighting yourself
• You plan more realistically
• You work with your body instead of against it

And if your symptoms feel extreme?
That’s information. Not a personality flaw.

Next week I’m hosting a FREE webinar where we’ll chat about the phases of your cycle - so that you can finally understand what is happening month to month.

If this post resonated, you’ll love the webinar!
