A warm chai spice tumeric golden milk.
This is a lovely chai spice recipe, just add a tsp tumeric.
This recipe is for a large amount ~ put in a sealed glass jar ready for your next cuppa.
Warm your spices and slowly add your milk, gently stirring and bring to simmer and let it rest a moment.

The word ~ Breathwork …
It has always felt a bit off and a bit odd to calling breathing work.
Breathing should not be strained or forced and certainly not work.

Breath is Prana ~ our essential life force that flows naturally through every cell of our beings, if it didn’t it would a necrotic cell, a dead cell.

The profound and ancient knowledge of Pranayama,
Prana ~ life force
Yama ~ lengthening
explored and established a huge body of practise and this has been passed down for centuries through the various yogic lineages.

It is the fourth of the Eight Limbs of Yoga (ashtanga) outlined in the Yoga Sutras by the ancient sage Patanjali. It serves as a bridge between the physical body (asanas) and the mind (meditation), preparing and calming the nervous system for deeper states of awareness and concentration.

In our modern day consumer consciousness, breathing practices are now translated into work, usually accompanied with a lot of huffing and puffing, over stimulation of our nervous systems, agitating the natural directional flows of Prana and often creating out of body, slightly high and trippy states of mind due to the sudden over oxygenation of the cells, all the while increasing Vata dosha in an already vitiated Vata excess society and thereby creating imbalance.

Working with Prana ~ our essential life force is subtle and deep work and requires years of learning and practise.
Let us not confuse the states of the effects of oxygenation with the ancient science of Pranayama.
