Why do we need oxygen for ozone therapy?

An ozone generator is like a convertor; it requires an input to get an output. When pure oxygen (O2) is fed into an ozone generator, the generator splits the oxygen atom and recombines it into an ozone atom (O3) before pushing the ozone out for use.

Because ozone is unstable, after your body has had time to utilise the ozone, it will break down into oxygen again, giving you an additional boost.

This is why medical generators require an oxygen source, and an oxygen cylinder is the most pure source.
