The Prana Plate

The Prana Plate Food. Lifestyle. Ayurveda. From the tiniest ant to the most majestic elephant, everything around us contains prana.

Welcome to The Prana Plate, a space of creating, sharing and exploring all the good things in life that raise our life force energy, our prana. The levels of prana we experience throughout the day determine the state of our minds. Prana levels are increased when we see things of beauty, hear our favourite piece of music, exchange deep and meaningful words in conversation, feel the warm embrace of

another human, take the first bite of a scrumptious meal or when we take a few moments to observe our breath at the end of a long day. Through our five senses we experience all the magic that is around us. Join me on a journey as I explore the sources of prana, with food being the greatest focus. It’s all about sharing and inspiring healthier food choices for a lighter, brighter, happier state of mind!

"What did you eat?"

It's a question many of us have heard from parents and grandparents when someone is acting a little differently than usual.

Ancient traditions understood something that modern science is increasingly exploring: food doesn't just nourish the body—it influences how we feel, think, and interact with the world around us.

Ayurveda describes three qualities of the mind: Sattva (clarity), Rajas (activity), and Tamas (inertia). The foods we eat can help cultivate these qualities within us.

The next time you're feeling unusually calm, restless, or sluggish, it may be worth asking yourself:

What kind of mindset am I feeding?

One of the things I love most about Ayurveda is how accurately it explains our differences.

- The friend who's forgotten to eat all day and is now overwhelmed?
- The friend who becomes a completely different person when lunch is delayed?
- The friend who genuinely isn't hungry yet?

While we're all a unique combination of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, most of us can recognize certain tendencies in ourselves (and definitely in our friends 😄).

Which one sounds most like you?

For three years, some of you may have noticed something different in certain batches of our ghee. A deeper colour. A richer smell. A bolder flavour. You may have wondered if it was inconsistency?

It wasn't. It was just nature doing her thing! 😉

3 years and 850+ jars later, we are putting a name to it. Introducing...
Deep Roast Ghee | Amber. Nutty. Intense.

In Ayurveda, we are taught to live in harmony with nature — to honour her cycles rather than fight them. This ghee is that philosophy in a jar.

Available in extremely limited quantities in 350ml and 1000ml. When it's gone, it's gone. 💫

38 years of life… 10 things I’ve reflected on:

1. Health is not a side project — it is the foundation that everything else rests on.
2. Consistency matters more than intensity in everything you do. Small daily actions shape your life far more than occasional bursts of motivation.
3. Peace is more valuable than being right. Protect your energy, your nervous system, and your inner stability.
4. Most people are carrying burdens you know nothing about. Lead with compassion whenever you can.
5. Healing is not linear. Relapses and setbacks do not erase progress.
6. Not everyone will understand your path — and that’s okay. You are constantly evolving. Embrace it.
7. Simplicity is underrated. Nourishing meals, meaningful work, good sleep, laughter with friends, and time in nature often bring more fulfillment than endlessly chasing achievement.
8. You become what you repeatedly consume — food, media, conversations, music, environments. You can’t avoid all negativity, but make sure the good outweighs the heavy.
9. Comparison quietly steals joy, especially in the digital age. Work quietly and consistently toward your goals. What you have to offer the world is unique.
10. Grief and loss deepen perspective. They clarify what truly matters — and what never really did.

and 1 more bonus...

Presence is everything. Stop replaying the past or rehearsing the future. Life is happening now. Be here now. ✨

Most breakfasts look harmless, until you notice how you feel after...

The mid-morning crash.
The bloating.
The constant hunger that never quite settles.

It’s not random, and it’s not a lack of discipline. It’s the way we’ve been taught to eat.

Your morning meal isn’t just fuel — it sets the tone for your digestion, your energy, and your clarity for the rest of the day.

"Breakfast – Inspired by Ayurveda" shows you what to reach for instead.

Warm, nourishing, vegetarian recipes, designed for real life, adapted to your body type or season.

So you don’t just eat — you feel the difference.

That 10am slump is not your fault — it is your breakfast.

Most of us have been taught that a green smoothie, a yoghurt, or a bowl of cereal is a healthy start to the day. Ayurveda tells a different story — and once you understand it, you cannot unsee it.

"Breakfast - Inspired by Ayurveda" is my first recipe book and it has been a long time coming. Inside you will find nourishing lacto-vegetarian recipes designed with simple Ayurvedic guidance that makes sense from the very first page — no complicated rules, no overwhelming theory, just practical wisdom you can take straight to your kitchen tomorrow morning.

✨ Pre-orders are open now at a special launch price — until 8 May only. 📦 Shipping begins after 8 May.

This book was written for exactly that person.

Is that prana on your plate? 🙂
