World Hand Hygiene Day

Clean hands = better health 🧼✨

With winter and flu season approaching, proper handwashing is one of the easiest ways to stay well.

In Occupational Therapy, handwashing and grooming are part of ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) - supporting independence, dignity, and everyday function.

Take 20 seconds, wash thoroughly (thumbs, fingertips & between fingers), and dry well.

Small habit, big impact. 💙

👁️ World Glaucoma Week: 9-15 March
🗓️ World Glaucoma Day: 12 March

Glaucoma is a progressive eye condition that can gradually affect peripheral vision. Regular eye checks and early awareness are essential in protecting sight and maintaining independence.

As Occupational Therapists, we provide personalised, client-centred support to help you continue living safely and confidently.
We may assist with:
✨ Home safety assessments
✨ Improving lighting and contrast throughout the home
✨ Reducing fall risks and environmental hazards
✨ Adapting routines and daily tasks
✨ Recommending suitable low vision strategies and equipment

We don’t treat the eye condition - we focus on helping you function well in everyday life.

Our goal is to work alongside you to find practical solutions that fit your lifestyle - because small changes can make a big difference. 💚

🌿 Healthy Lifestyle Day 🌿

Today we celebrate caring for both our physical and mental well-being because true health is about balance.

A healthy lifestyle is more than diet and exercise. It’s about moving your body, managing stress, resting well, and making time for activities that bring meaning and joy.

When life changes - through injury, illness, or major transitions - your routine may need to change too. The goal isn’t to give up on healthy living, but to ADAPT IT.

✨ If you can’t run, walk.
✨ If your schedule shifts, create new routines.
✨ If stress increases, prioritise rest and mindfulness.

Leisure and meaningful activities aren’t luxuries - they support resilience, purpose, and mental well-being.

Health looks different for everyone and evolves over time.
Aim for balance, not perfection. 🌱

Hi! I’m Fatima, I am an Occupational Therapist who graduated from Stellenbosch University and completed my community service in the Central Karoo, Western Cape. I have a special interest in physical and neurological rehabilitation and value the opportunity to work closely with individuals, support their independence, and make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Helping others regain their independence and witnessing their resilience continually fuels my passion for this work. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring nature, and capturing life’s moments through photography, helping me to stay balanced and motivated.

Hi! I’m Catherine, I am an occupational therapist who graduated from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and completed my community service year at Frere Hospital in the Eastern Cape. I have completed my basic wheelchair seating certification and am working toward completing my intermediate level. I have pursued ongoing professional development in the field of neurology, with training focused on splinting, cognition, and a range of hand therapy based workshops. I have a particular interest in upper limb and hand-related injuries and enjoy working in this area of practice. Looking ahead, I aim to further my skills through additional certification in hand therapy and vocational rehabilitation.

Hi! I’m Grete, an Occupational Therapist who graduated from the University of the Western Cape and completed my community service in Bloemfontein. I have a special interest in the Neurological and Rehabilitation fields, with a passion for working with patients who have spinal cord injuries. Being an OT allows me to walk alongside people during some of their most vulnerable stages of recovery, and witnessing them regain their independence and sense of self is what truly motivates me to follow my passion every day. Outside of work, I enjoy taking walks in nature and attending pottery classes, which help me recharge and stay creative.

Every journey has seasons, and today we honour a special one.
From the very beginning, this business was built with heart, vision, and dedication. As one of our founders steps into a new chapter, we do so with immense gratitude for everything she has built and the legacy she leaves behind.

We will miss her dearly and wish her nothing but the very best as she focuses on her family. She will always remain a proud “L” and a cherished part of our story. ✨🤍

Meet the team ✨

I’m Jay-C, a 24 year old passionate OT graduate from the University of Pretoria.

I completed my commserve in Delareyville - a very small rural area in the heart of NW. In my commserve year, I realised the need for OT and what difference we ought to make in a community.

This is my motto and belief in which I approach therapy:
“Christ has no body but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours.
Yours are the eyes with which he looks.
Compassion on this world.
Yours are the feet with which He walks to do good.
Yours are the hands, with which He blesses all the world.” 🙌🏼
