If you’re a Clear, your colouring is fresh, bright and naturally high in contrast, so your clothing needs to reflect this.

A pastel shade on its own can sometimes feel a little flat, but when it’s paired with a stronger colour from your palette, the look comes alive and feels balanced.

Why is CLARITY an important aspect of how we assess our clients?

Most people understand depth (how light or dark a colour is) and undertone (how warm or cool it is), but there’s a third property of colour: clarity.

Clarity refers to how pure or muted a colour appears. Bright, vibrant colours reflect light, while softer, dusty shades absorb it.

Even when the depth and undertone are right, clarity can make all the difference. Softer colouring is often overwhelmed by bright shades, while those with stronger colouring can find muted colours dull or draining.

For example, Sophie Ellis-Bextor shines in clear emerald green, whereas Kylie Minogue looks her best in softer, gentler tones. Clarity also affects fabric choice – satin enhances colour intensity by reflecting light, while jersey softens it by absorbing light.

As we all have an element of clarity in our colouring, it’s an important factor to consider when choosing clothes and make-up.

Have you noticed that capri pants are back?

Love them or loathe them, they've made a comeback, from the office to casual wear and even workout gear.

But be warned: they're one of the trickiest trends to wear.

Capris can shorten your legs, highlight fuller calves and if you're broader on top, they can make you look out of proportion.

The fix? Choose a high-waisted style and a hem that doesn't cut across the widest part of your calf and pair them with shoes that help elongate your legs – or simply swerve them altogether if they're not doing you any favours!

Remember: it's not about following every trend. It's about making the trend work for you (or having the confidence to say no and walking away).
