Bio Sculpture offers a range of treatment gels that include two strengthening gels: Hard Gel (S-gel) and Medium Gel (Flexi-gel). Strengthening gels are used to correct the shape of the nail by creating an upper arch. This will also strengthen the nail and prevent stress breaks. On clients requiring a little more support, adding a layer of Medium Gel or Hard Gel is required to accomplish a set of nails that will last upwards of 3 weeks. But, which one do you use??
Medium Gel is suitable for most client's nails. In fact, if the natural nail is flexible (bends easily) the best option is Medium Gel. Hard Gel should be reserved for those clients with a solid or inflexible natural nail (does not bend).
Applying gels that are too hard on nails that are flexible often leads to gels lifting at the free edge which shortens the number of weeks a client can go between salon visits.
