Most people on the FODMAP diet don’t know it’s meant to end. It’s a structured process — elimination to find your triggers, then reintroduction to find your real tolerance — not a permanent list of foods to avoid. Done without guidance, it often becomes long-term unnecessary restriction. If IBS symptoms have had you avoiding entire food groups for months or years, it might be time to finish the process properly. Come chat to us

People are sometimes surprised that my own kitchen looks this ordinary — no meal-prepped containers, no elaborate system, just real food made simply, most days. Twenty years of clinical nutrition work has taught me sustainable eating has very little to do with perfection. The patients who do best aren’t the ones with the most rigid plans, they’re the ones who build something realistic enough to keep doing. If your relationship with food feels like a system you can’t keep up with, let’s talk. Come chat to us.

Treatment ends. The recovery doesn’t. So much focus goes into getting through active treatment, but survivorship is its own phase — and it’s often exactly when support quietly disappears. Your body can still be rebuilding for months after the last session. If treatment has ended but you don’t feel fully like yourself again, that’s worth taking seriously. Come chat to us — survivorship nutrition matters just as much as treatment

Twenty years of consult rooms, and this is still one of my favourite things: an ordinary walk, nowhere to be. 🍃

Good clinical care isn’t just about what happens in the consult room — it’s also about staying like a real person outside of it. No patients, no notes, just a bit of headspace before the next week starts.

If you’re managing something complex right now — a diagnosis, a recovery, a condition that feels like it’s taking over your life — I get it. And I still believe there’s room for the ordinary, small moments alongside it.

Book a consultation if you need support navigating the complicated stuff. We’ll take it one step at a time, together.

Not every “healthy food” list applies to every body. Bananas, avocado, spinach, potatoes — genuinely nutrient-dense, but also foods that need watching if you have kidney disease, where high potassium can be dangerous rather than helpful. This is why generic nutrition advice can fall short for complex conditions. If you or someone in your family is managing kidney disease, come talk

This Women’s Day, we want to flag something we see often in practice: women are usually the ones managing everyone else’s nutrition — packing lunchboxes, adjusting a partner’s diet, planning a parent’s recovery meals — while their own needs quietly slip down the list.

Ongoing fatigue, low iron, and changing bone health aren’t just “part of getting older” or “part of being busy.” They’re nutritional signals worth taking seriously, and they look different at every life stage.

This weekend, consider putting your own plate on the agenda too.

Book a consultation with a registered dietitian — for a plan built around your life, not someone else’s. 🌿

You’ve seen my scrubs. Meet my golden hour. This is me switching off — no consult notes, no corridors, just quiet and a good sunset. Twenty years of clinical nutrition work has taught me that the patients who do best aren’t the strictest ones, they’re the ones with an actual life alongside the eating plan. So here’s your reminder: come get help with the complicated stuff, and still make time for whatever your version of golden hour is. Both things can be true.

Something I see often in practice: families notice a loved one eating less during cancer treatment, but don’t realise how much it can matter clinically.

Malnutrition is one of the most common, and overlooked complications of cancer treatment. It’s also one of the most treatable, with the right support early.

If this is you right now, please reach out. You don’t have to figure this out alone

I've watched so many patients come home after surgery and just… going back to eating normally. And I get it, nobody gave you a nutritional plan at discharge.

But here’s what most people don’t realise: your protein needs can nearly double after major surgery. Your body is rebuilding tissue, fighting infection risk, and trying to regain strength. It needs raw materials to do that.

If you are recovering from surgery, or supporting someone who is, this is an important piece of the recovery puzzle. We can help you.
