We see it all the time. It’s in the “Current Routine” section of so many Consultation Cards that we see. So many products and devices that are either gathering dust, doing nothing for our skin or, worse, doing harm.

Facial cleansing tools can do real damage to the skin barrier and it’s tempting to use it more aggressively when your skin starts freaking out. The cycle can be unforgiving.

The best sunscreen is the one you’ll actually wear. Let’s aim for broad-spectrum SPF50+, but truly, just wear the damn sunscreen 🙏🏻

Doing too much can irritate the skin and, honestly, who has the time and money to keep up a 12 step routine?? In this economy?? 👀
But seriously, rather find a routine that you can be consistent with, that is specifically chosen to target your concerns.
A solid routine could be as simple as a cleanser + moisturizer + SPF, with actives like retinoid/serum layered in for specific concerns.

As with all skin care - you have to use it if you want to see results 😅
You wouldn’t do 10 squats and expect to be toned forever. Consistency is truly the biggest secret.

Retinoids are wonderful when used consistently but it can take time to find the one that’s right for you. When you find the right one, don’t feel pressured to level up. Consistency > Intensity

Please don’t fall down black hole of skin care trends online. What works for the lady on the internet may not be right for you.

Your skin is not a trend.
