And with the weekend just around the corner, we’re all looking forward to a little quality time with our favourite people. Our families, our friends and, of course, our furry family members! 🐾

So, while our Laps of Compassion Celebrity Golf Day might be getting all the attention lately, it’s certainly not our only upcoming event!

Grace, our little Stevie Nicks fan, is getting her ducks in a row (instead of chasing them, hopefully) and is doing so well on her road to recovery. We miss having her in the office and want to say thank you to her dad for leaving such a lovely review for us 🩷

We aren’t supposed to play favourites here, but we always do appreciate a patient with such immaculate music taste, keep working hard on your recovery Grace!

As the last of winter’s frost finally begins to thaw, we have a little Blom called Freya blooming in our consult room and helping us welcome the warm weather (finally!) 🌼

Red patches, bald spots, thickened skin and little lumps… our pets can develop all sorts of interesting-looking marks! But not every spot has the same cause, or needs the same treatment.

In our latest post, we take a closer look at four common ones.

Remember, if a spot is red, sore, moist, bleeding, smelly, getting bigger, or being constantly licked or scratched, it’s worth having it checked by your vet.

When in doubt, don’t just spot the spot, get it checked! 😉

Grace has officially left the building, and we’re not entirely sure the office has recovered. 🐾🎶

This gorgeous Border Collie came to board with us after her operation, with a portion of her surgery and recovery generously funded by our Paws Pay-It-Forward Fund (repaid with pets, cuddles, cake, and a gorgeous orchid - Thank you Grace's Dad!)❤️ She’s now continuing her recovery with physiotherapy, working hard to get back to her usual life of swimming, running, playing and, most importantly, chasing ducks.

But while Grace was boarding in our office, we discovered something very important about her rehabilitation process…

Grace has opinions about music. 😂

We noticed she became particularly calm when certain songs were playing, with 'Gypsy' by Fleetwood Mac emerging as the clear favourite. It was played 18 times in ONE DAY.

Naturally, the only reasonable response was to create a Spotify playlist: 'Songs for Grace', a carefully curated collection of all her favourites.

There is, however, one very firm rule:

🚫 NO ENYA.

We tried Caribbean Blue. Grace responded by loudly and very clearly voicing her displeasure. Apparently, Enya is simply not her vibe.

We miss our little boarding doggy terribly (and, frankly, her impeccable music taste).

We can’t wait to see this girl back on her feet, running, swimming and playing in the dam with her family again. Until then, Grace, keep healing, keep wagging, and please keep the Enya reviews to a minimum.

Jersey may be small, but he sure is mighty🐾

This stylish Pom is as spicy as he is adorable, with the cutest smile and a luxurious winter coat that had us all feeling a little jealous during the latest cold-snap.

Jersey is visiting us for some physiotherapy to help manage his luxating patella, and he’s certainly keeping us entertained along the way! We wish this distinguished little spitfire all the very best 🩷
