Breast cancer awareness is more than wearing pink, it is about educating ourselves, encouraging early detection, supporting those affected, and helping to save lives. As public servants, we have a responsibility to promote wellness, compassion, and awareness within our workplaces and communities. By sharing knowledge and encouraging regular screenings, we contribute to a healthier and more informed society.

For South Africans, breast cancer awareness serves as a reminder that early detection can make a significant difference in treatment outcomes and survival rates. Let us stand together in support of those affected, honour survivors, remember those we have lost, and continue building a culture of care, hope, and collective responsibility.

"We wear pink. We stand together. We raise awareness. Because every life matters."

Today the PSCBC joins the global community in commemorating World Food Day, a day that highlights the importance of food security, nutrition, sustainable agriculture, and collective action to end hunger. It serves as a reminder that access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food is a fundamental human right and a shared responsibility. As we mark this important day, let us reaffirm our commitment to building a society where no one is left behind, and where every individual has the opportunity to live a healthy and dignified life. Together, we can contribute towards a food-secure future for all.
