The council members’ induction programme continues in Gauteng at the PSCBC offices. Delegates are being equipped with essential knowledge and insights on the roles and responsibilities, the ethical standards and conduct expected of those serving on the council, the legal mandate and functions of the PSCBC, and the relationship between the PSCBC and sectoral bargaining councils within the broader collective bargaining framework.

The programme aims to strengthen the capacity of council members to effectively fulfil their responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to sound labour relations and effective collective bargaining within the Public Service.

As we conclude the Eastern Cape Council Members’ Induction Programme, participants have over the past two days engaged in meaningful discussions and strengthened their understanding of their governance, leadership, and ethical responsibilities as council members.
