How you start your journey sets the pace and rhythm for everything that follows.
It’s not often that one is afforded the honour of performing the very first case in a new cath lab. Recently, I had the privilege of assisting with the first pacemaker implant at Ahmed Al-Kadi Private Hospital — a milestone that represents far more than a single procedure.
This marks the beginning of an important new service offering to the community: access to life-changing cardiac rhythm management closer to home. For patients and families, this means improved access to specialised care, reduced delays to treatment, and the reassurance that advanced cardiac services continue to grow within our region.
A sincere thank you to Dr Michael, Amie, Sr Melissa, and the entire Cath Lab team for their collaboration, trust, and commitment to patient care. Establishing a new service is always a collective effort, and it is exciting to see the foundation being laid for what will undoubtedly become a meaningful and impactful programme for the community.
Looking forward to seeing this service grow and the many lives it will touch in the years ahead.
