As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to an end, there's one more message we'd like to share: breast cancer doesn't only affect women. ♀️🎗️♂️
Although it's rare, men can develop breast cancer too. Because most men don't know this, changes are often ignored and the cancer is found later than it should be. The signs to look out for are similar to those in women: a lump or thickening in the chest or under the ni**le (usually painless), a ni**le that turns inward or has a discharge, changes to the skin, or a lump in the armpit.
If you notice any of these changes, please don't feel embarrassed and don't wait. Speak to your pharmacist, doctor or clinic. And to everyone reading this, share it with the men in your life – the fathers, brothers, husbands, sons and friends.
