Recently came across an issue that was staring me in the face all along and I am wondering how do you handle this scenarios?

If you have a child in school, that is required to inject insulin themselves and is not relying on anyone at school to assist.... Where do they do it?

Does the teacher allow them to leave the classroom or do they inject in the classroom?

I am asking, as my daughter is now experiencing this and with the school winter uniform, she wears winter stocking... Would you be happy with your kid/daughter inject through the stocking?

I haven't posted in a while and thought to pick up where i have left off.

We are celebrating our Warriors on 14 November - on WORLD DIABETES DAY - and i wanted to share my daughter's latest stats...

She does not have a or an insulin pump. Finger pricks and injections is how she spend her days looking after her diabetes. She gets tired, emotional and irritable.... but all I can do is keep reminding her of how brave she is and how much we love her.

She has grown up so much since her diagnosis. She does have days where she hates it and frustrated that she is not allowed to just eat what she wants...

My hat goes off to all the , I cannot imagine what you are feeling daily and how your life is a rollercoaster of emotions and highs and lows.

"BEING A PANCREAS IS HARD WORK Managing Type 1 involves more than taking shots and checking blood sugar. It is a complex balance of insulin dosage, exercise and carbs. Growth, illness, stress, changes in activity level, injection locations and many other factors can affect this balance. Continuous adjustment helps maintain healthy glucose levels. Managing Type 1 diabetes is a full time job. There are no pay checks, time off or vacation days, and overtime is required."
