❤️🩹 HEART FAILURE DOES NOT ALWAYS MEAN THE END OF YOUR STORY
In February 2026, I was admitted to hospital with severe heart failure. My heart’s ejection fraction was only around 20–25%, and my left ventricle was severely enlarged at approximately 68 mm.
Treatment started working and my heart began pumping more effectively—but something even more remarkable followed.
My enlarged left ventricle reduced from approximately 68 mm to 55 mm, while its measurement during contraction improved from roughly 55–56 mm to 43 mm.
This is called reverse remodelling.
It means my heart did not merely begin pumping better—it physically started returning towards a healthier size and shape.
At the same time:
❤️ My resting heart rate dropped from over 100 to the high 60s/low 70s.
❤️ My blood pressure stabilised.
❤️ The signs of active heart failure disappeared.
❤️ I lost more than 40 kg.
❤️ My diabetes went into remission.
❤️ I returned to walking, gym training and competitive shooting.
❤️ My cardiologist now only needs to see me again in six months.
My message to anyone suffering from heart failure is simple: do not give up hope. Recovery and major improvement are possible.
Take your medication exactly as prescribed. Listen to your cardiologist. Change your lifestyle. Eat with purpose. Exercise only when medically cleared—and remain consistent even when progress feels slow.
Every person’s condition and recovery will be different. My heart failure is considered in remission, not something I can ignore, and I will continue my treatment. But by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, excellent medical care and the incredible support of my family and fiancée Cayla, my body and heart have been given another chance.
A damaged heart can become stronger. A broken body can rebuild. Your diagnosis does not have to be the final chapter.
