🍶 CASTOR OIL — NATURE’S GOLDEN OIL 🍶

There’s something beautifully simple about castor oil. This thick, golden oil has been used for generations as part of natural wellness and self-care.

Castor oil is rich in Ricinoleic Acid and is often used in traditional wellness practices for skin nourishment, massage and soothing dry areas.

✦ HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR CASTOR OIL ✦

When choosing castor oil for your personal wellness routine, look for:

• Cold-pressed castor oil
• Hexane-free
• Pure, preferably organic
• A reputable, trusted supplier

Cold pressing extracts the oil without using high heat, while choosing hexane-free means avoiding oil extracted using the chemical solvent hexane.

✦ A LITTLE SAFETY REMINDER ✦

Natural doesn't automatically mean safe for everyone.

Castor oil should generally be used externally unless a qualified healthcare professional has specifically advised you to take it internally. Never use it on broken or irritated skin, and always do a small patch test first.

✦ HERB OF THE WEEK: ELDERBERRY ✦

This Week I’m Sharing A Little About Elderberry, A Beautiful Little Berry That Has Been Used In Herbal Wellness For Generations.

✦ SO, WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT ELDERBERRY?

Elderberries Are Naturally Rich In Antioxidants And Plant Compounds. They Have Traditionally Been Used To Support General Wellness, Especially During Cold And Flu Season.

You’ll Often Find Elderberry In Syrups, Teas And Other Herbal Preparations.

✦ DID YOU KNOW?

Elderberries Need To Be Properly Prepared Before Eating. Raw Or Unripe Elderberries, As Well As The Leaves And Stems, Can Cause An Upset Stomach, So This Is Definitely Not A Berry To Simply Pick And Eat Straight From The Tree.

I Love Learning About The Different Herbs And Plants That Nature Gives Us. There Is Always Something New To Discover.

✦ A LITTLE WELLNESS REMINDER

Just As We Nourish Our Bodies, We Also Need To Nourish Our Mind, Body And Spirit.

Take A Moment To Slow Down.
Listen To Your Body.
Rest When You Need To And Make Time For Yourself.

Sometimes Self-Care Really Can Be That Simple.

And Of Course, Don’t Forget About Your Feet because They Carry You Through Everything.

🌶️ Herb of the Day: Cayenne Pepper

Did you know? Cayenne pepper gets its fiery heat from capsaicin, the natural compound responsible for that hot sensation. 🌶️

✨ Potential benefits of cayenne pepper:

🔥 Contains capsaicin, which has been studied for its effects on pain
❤️ Protects your heart
🌿 Maintain a healthy weight by speeding up metabolism
💪 Adds flavour without needing lots of salt
🌶️ Improves digestion
💊 Contains vitamins A, C, and E.

🍳 How to use it:
Add a small pinch to soups, stews, curries, eggs or roasted vegetables. Start with a little as the heat can build quickly!

⚠️ A gentle reminder: Cayenne can irritate the stomach, especially in people prone to heartburn or reflux, so moderation is important.
