Artist statement
As an artist, I create childlike and expressive works that capture the essence of childhood innocence and playfulness. My medium of choice is painting, and I often incorporate mixed media elements to add texture and depth to my pieces. Through bold brushstrokes and vivid colours, I aim to evoke a sense of freedom and creativity, inviting the viewer to reflect on the importance of imagination and play in childhood development.
My work is driven by a desire to celebrate the beauty and simplicity of childhood and to explore how imagination, memories, and creativity shape our lives. I draw inspiration from the world around me. I use mixed media elements to add texture and depth to my pieces. Through bold brushstrokes and vivid colours, I aim to evoke a sense of happiness, freedom, and creativity, inviting the viewer to reflect on the importance of imagination and play in childhood development and to observe how children interact with their surroundings and the people in their lives. My artistic process is influenced by the expressive and emotive qualities of colour and gesture, and I strive to capture the essence of childhood in a way that is both authentic and engaging. Through my art, I aim to evoke a sense of wonder, curiosity, and nostalgia, and to inspire viewers to appreciate the beauty of the world around them.
