Mommies, daddies & caregivers

A premature baby’s journey doesn’t end at discharge — follow-up care is where we help them catch up and thrive.

Remember that Preemies often meet milestones a little later. We use “corrected age” so we’re measuring progress fairly.

You’re not doing this alone. Regular follow-ups give your little one the best start 💛

Book your prematurity check-up and bring all your questions. We’ve got this together.🙂👩🏾‍⚕️🌈

Mommies, daddies & caregivers !

Eczema, food reactions, hayfever… allergies can make daily life uncomfortable for little ones.

Here’s how we handle it together:
1. We listen – You tell me what you’re seeing at home
2. We assess – I check symptoms and look for patterns
3. We plan – We find triggers and build a management plan that fits your family

No medical jargon. No scary guesses. Just clear explanations and decisions we make together.

If your child seems uncomfortable, itchy, or reacts to certain foods or the environment — let’s chat. Small changes can make a big difference to their comfort and sleep.

We’re here to ease the worry and get your child feeling better!! 👩🏾‍⚕️🌈

Mommies, daddies and caregivers!!

Your child’s growth isn’t just about numbers on a scale — it’s about watching them become themselves.

Here’s how we track it together at every check-up:

TRACK – What I want you to notice at home
Those first smiles, rolling, babbling, pointing, walking.

CHECK – What we do in the rooms
We measure weight, length, head size and plot it on your Road to Health booklet. We check how baby sees, hears, moves and interacts.

CHAT – What you should ask me
No question is too small. “Is this normal?” “When should they start…?” “I’m worried about…” Bring it all. Early catch-up makes the biggest difference.

Got a check-up coming up? Bring your Road to Health booklet and all your questions.

We’ve got this together🌈👩🏾‍⚕️

Mommies, daddies and caregivers!!

If you’re wondering whether it could be asthma, here are 3 key signs to watch for in your little one:

Coughing — Especially at night, during play, when laughing, or with every cold. It often lingers and won’t settle.
Wheezing — A whistling or musical sound when they breathe out. You can sometimes hear it even without a stethoscope.
Tight chest or struggling to breathe — Your child says “I can’t breathe” or you notice their tummy sucking in under the ribs, or their neck pulling when they breathe in.

Please remember: Asthma doesn’t mean your child can’t live fully. With the right plan, they can run, play, sleep and thrive. 👩🏾‍⚕️🌈

If you’re seeing these signs, let’s chat. No child should struggle to breathe, and no parent should worry alone.

Routine immunisations remain one of the most effective ways to protect children from serious diseases such as measles, whooping cough, polio, and tuberculosis. They build strong immunity early in life and contribute to safer communities for everyone. As a paediatrician, I encourage keeping up with the national schedule and addressing any questions you may have about vaccines. If your child needs a catchup or routine review, call to book an appointment for personalised guidance.
