Interresting facts.....
• Origin of the Name: The word frankincense comes from the old French term franc encens, which translates literally to "quality incense".
• It Was Used as Ancient Eyeliner: In ancient Egypt, charred frankincense resin was ground down to create Kohl, a dark cosmetic paint used to line and decorate the eyes.
• Grows Out of Solid Rock: Boswellia trees are remarkably hardy and can sprout directly out of solid, barren rock faces in arid landscapes like Somalia, Oman, and Ethiopia.
• Referred to as the "King of Oils": Because of its long history in sacred rituals, trade, and traditional wellness, frankincense is often called the "King of Oils" in modern aromatherapy.
• Edible Resin and Natural Gum: Raw, translucent frankincense tears have historically been chewed like gum to freshen breath, soothe digestive issues, and support the immune system.
• Chemical Fingerprint Varies by Species: The oil is packed with over 200 molecular compounds, but the dominant scent profile changes depending on the tree—for example, Boswellia carterii is rich in pine-scented alpha-pinene, while Boswellia serrata leans toward fruity octyl acetate.
• "Arabia the Blessed": Demand for the resin in the ancient world was so high that trade routes made southern Arabia immensely wealthy, earning the region the classical title Arabia Felix ("Arabia the Blessed")

Fascinating Facts About Oregano Oil

• Ancient Medicine: Ancient Greeks and Romans used wild oregano and its oils to treat skin wounds, snake bites, and respiratory infections.
• Potent Potency: One single drop of oregano essential oil can equal the flavoring strength of an entire tablespoon of dried ground oregano herb.
• Natural Defense: Carvacrol and thymol give the oil strong antimicrobial properties, showing effectiveness against certain bacteria and fungi in laboratory tests.
• High Concentration Warning: Unlike culinary herbs, pure essential oils are extremely potent and can be toxic to the liver and nervous system if swallowed undiluted. They should always be diluted with a carrier oil for skin application

Interresting facts on Coriander....
Fascinating Origins and Name
• Bug-like origins: The name coriander comes from the Greek word koriannon, which is rooted in koris (meaning "bug"). This refers to the strong, herbaceous, and slightly bug-like scent of the fresh, crushed green leaves.
• Ancient history: Coriander seeds have a long history. Archaeologists found them in the ancient tombs of Egyptian pharaohs, and ancient Greek physicians like Hippocrates used them for healing.
Unique Chemical and Aromatherapy Facts
• The chemical twin: The seed version of coriander essential oil shares a very similar chemical profile with lavender oil, as both contain high amounts of relaxing linalool.
• Seeds vs. leaves: Seed essential oil smells warm, spicy, and woody, while leaf essential oil contains sharp aldehydes that give it a much greener, citrus-heavy scent.
• Aromatic bridge: Perfumers call coriander a "middle note bridge" because its spicy-citrus scent helps connect light top citrus notes with deep woody base notes in fine fragrances.
Biological and Health Properties
• Bacterial cell breaker: Scientific studies show that coriander essential oil can damage the outer cell membranes of harmful bacteria, causing internal leaks that kill the cells.
• Food protector: Because it fights microbes naturally, the food industry uses coriander oil not just for flavoring, but to help protect stored foods from spoiling.
