**WEIGHT LOSS MYTHS… DEBUNKED! 🥝**

With so much nutrition advice online, it’s easy to feel confused about what actually works. The truth is that sustainable weight management is built on consistent habits—not quick fixes or restrictive rules.

Here are 4 common myths:

❌ **Myth:** Carbs make you fat.
✅ **Fact:** Carbohydrates are your body’s main source of energy. Choosing high-fibre options like oats, brown rice, wholegrain bread and sweet potato can support a healthy, balanced diet.

❌ **Myth:** Skipping meals helps you lose weight.
✅ **Fact:** Skipping meals may leave you overly hungry later in the day, making it harder to maintain balanced eating habits.

❌ **Myth:** You can target fat loss in specific areas.
✅ **Fact:** Unfortunately, we can’t choose where our bodies lose fat. Focus on overall healthy habits instead.

❌ **Myth:** Eating late at night automatically causes weight gain.
✅ **Fact:** Your overall eating pattern, food choices and energy intake matter far more than the clock alone.

Remember, healthy weight loss isn’t about being perfect—it’s about nourishing your body, building sustainable habits and creating a lifestyle you can enjoy for years to come. 💚

If you’re ready to move away from dieting and towards practical, evidence-based nutrition support, I’d love to help.

🥗 Building a balanced plate doesn’t have to be complicated.

One of the simplest ways to improve your nutrition is to think about balance rather than restriction.

A balanced plate helps provide your body with the nutrients it needs to:
✨ Feel satisfied for longer
⚡ Maintain steady energy levels
🩸 Support healthy blood sugar levels
❤️ Promote heart health
🌿 Improve overall wellbeing

A simple guide is:

🥦 ½ Your Plate: Colourful vegetables and salad
Rich in fibre, vitamins and minerals to support good health.

🍗 ¼ Your Plate: Lean protein
Chicken, fish, eggs, lean meat, beans, lentils or tofu help keep you fuller for longer while supporting muscle health.

🍚 ¼ Your Plate: High-fibre carbohydrates
Choose options like brown rice, wholewheat pasta, sweet potato, quinoa or wholegrain bread to provide sustained energy.

🥑 Don’t forget healthy fats!
Add a small serving of avocado, nuts, seeds or olive oil to support heart and brain health.

💧 And remember to stay hydrated—water is one of the most important nutrients for your body.

Healthy eating isn’t about getting every meal perfect. It’s about making balanced choices most of the time.

📍 Consultations available in Cedar Square, Fourways and online.

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be perfect. 💚

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is:
“I’ve eaten badly today, so I’ll start again on Monday.”

The truth is, one meal or one day doesn’t define your health.

Healthy eating isn’t about following strict rules or striving for perfection. It’s about making small, consistent choices that nourish your body, fit your lifestyle, and are enjoyable enough to maintain.

✨ Remember:
🥝 Every meal is a new opportunity to make a nourishing choice.
🥗 All foods can fit into a healthy eating pattern.
💧 Staying hydrated matters.
🚶‍♀️ Moving your body in a way you enjoy is just as important as what’s on your plate.
❤️ Progress will always be more powerful than perfection.

Small, sustainable changes add up over time—and those are the habits that create lasting results.

If you’re tired of dieting and ready to build a healthier relationship with food, I’d love to help.
