💙 Bringing care closer to our community!

On Friday, 18 September 2026, Unjani Clinic George visited Kraaibosch Estate with our George Health Mobile POD. Thank you to everyone who welcomed us and connected with our team. We value every opportunity to make healthcare more accessible and build relationships within our community.

🖤 Our Clinic Staff wore black clothing on this day which also carried an important message. On 18 September, South Africans were encouraged to wear black following the killings of women in Kempton Park and surrounding areas. Black symbolised mourning, solidarity with those affected by gender-based violence and femicide, and a call for justice and accountability. It was a reminder that every life lost matters, every grieving family deserves support, and violence against women must never be normalised. We stand for justice, safety, dignity and care.

🥛 On the same day, we also enjoyed connecting with families during our Nestlé LACTOKID activation! NESTLÉ LACTOKID 4 is a creamy drink specially formulated for children aged 3–5 years. It provides vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C and D, zinc and iodine, and can complement a varied, balanced diet as little ones grow, learn and explore. Thank you to the LACTOKID team and the families who joined us!

On 16 September 2026, we had the privilege of joining the Embrace Network Garden Route Partners’ gathering at Barrington’s in Plettenberg Bay. 🤎

It was a wonderful opportunity to step away from our busy schedules, reconnect with organisations and individuals who are making a difference in our communities, and share the work happening across the Garden Route.

The gathering was filled with meaningful conversations, shared experiences, new connections and a renewed sense of community. 🫶🏽

At Unjani Clinic George, we believe that stronger communities are built when we work together. By connecting with like-minded organisations and community partners, we can continue to learn from one another, identify opportunities to collaborate, and ultimately contribute towards better outcomes for the families and communities we serve. 💚

💙👂 A BEAUTIFUL FIRST FOR OUR NEW CLINIC 👂💙

On 27 August 2026, we proudly hosted the very first FREE hearing-screening campaign at our new Unjani Clinic George facility, situated at 2 Gloucester Avenue, Dormehls Drift.

It was a truly special beginning. From a precious 6-week-old baby to a wonderful 92-year-old senior, we had the privilege of caring for people across generations—reminding us that every person deserves the opportunity to hear, connect and flourish.

A highlight of the day was welcoming 24 joyful learners from Phakimane Daycare, who filled our new clinic with laughter, confidence and excitement. We sincerely commend the daycare for investing in its children’s health and development.

Each learner returned home with a FREE hearing-screening pack and certificate—a small keepsake representing an important step towards a brighter future. 🎒📜

Hearing plays a vital role in a child’s speech, learning, relationships and development. Early screening can identify difficulties sooner, allowing families to access the right support when it can make the greatest difference.

To every family, child, senior and community member who joined us: thank you for trusting us with your care and for making this milestone so meaningful.

Our first hearing-screening campaign at our new home was filled with care, connection and hope—and this is only the beginning. 💙
