Building back his strength. 💪
After a spinal fusion, getting back into exercise can feel incredibly scary. The natural instinct is to protect the area as much as possible — and understandably so. ❤️
But the goal after an injury or operation isn’t to keep the body inactive forever. With the right guidance and medical clearance, gradually rebuilding strength and movement is an important part of recovery.
That’s where EMS training can be a great option for someone returning to exercise. ⚡️
EMS uses electrical impulses to stimulate muscle contractions while you perform controlled movements. This means you can challenge your muscles without relying on heavy weights or high-impact exercises, making it possible to start rebuilding strength in a controlled way.
The focus is on controlled, full-body muscle activation and progressive strengthening, rather than simply loading the body with heavy resistance.
For someone recovering from spinal surgery, every step back into training needs to be individualised — but with the right programme, EMS can be one tool to help rebuild confidence, strength and stability. 💪
Strong again. One step at a time. ⚡️
