At some point, being busy became evidence that we were doing well.
If the diary is full, we must be important.
If we're exhausted, we must be working hard.
If we answer immediately, we must be committed.
If we can squeeze in one more thing, surely we should.
Except productivity isn't measured by how much activity we can survive.
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is:
Cancel the unnecessary meeting.
Protect an hour to think.
Say no.
Leave something until tomorrow.
Stop doing work that no longer adds value.
Wellbeing conversations often ask: "๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐บ๐๐๐ฒ๐น๐ณ?"
This week, try a different question: "๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐น๐ฑ ๐ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐๐ฒ?"
