Today, 9 August, we honour the strength, courage and resilience of the women who have shaped our nation and continue to inspire change.

At Binang Foundation for Special Needs, we celebrate all women and girls, including women and girls with disabilities. We believe that every woman deserves to be seen, heard, respected, included and empowered.

This National Women’s Day, we stand for a South Africa where inclusion knows no barriers, opportunities are accessible to all, and every woman and girl can reach her full potential.

Let us honour the legacy of the women who came before us by continuing to create a more equal, inclusive and empowered future for everyone.

Making every moment count this Mandela Day!

This Mandela Day, the Binang Foundation for Special Needs was honoured to spend time at Odirile Centre for Persons with Mental and Physical disabilities, sharing kindness, hope, and smiles with the incredible individuals at the centre.

Through the spirit of Ubuntu and collaboration, we were able to provide warm soup, nappies, cleaning supplies, and goodies to the residents, helping make the day a little brighter.

Today’s beautiful gesture of gifting us a lovely bunch of flowers truly touched our hearts. Your kindness, encouragement, and continued support mean so much to us and to the families we serve. They were given to our good Dr Kutumelo for her continued support and love.

Today marked the successful 4th Annual Parents Venting Session held at Tlatso Lifestyle and Accommodation.

What an incredible day filled with honest conversations, encouragement, healing, and empowerment. Under the theme “Growth, Success & Support,” parents came together to share experiences, uplift one another, and strengthen the bonds that help our families and communities thrive.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and contributed to making this event a great success. Your openness, support, and positive energy made today truly meaningful.
