Struggling with hip or back pain? Have you considered that it might be coming from your feet?🦶🏼>> Swipe to read more
Every time your foot hits the ground, walking, training, or running, it absorbs forces often several times your bodyweight. Your feet are built for that. The trouble starts when the demand placed on them outpaces what they can actually handle.
When that happens, the body doesn’t stop moving. It compensates, and that compensation often shows up further up the chain: the hip, the knee, the lower back.
This is one of the most common patterns I see in practice. A hip or back problem that, on closer inspection, traces back to how the feet are loading and moving beneath it. The video alongside this post shows that kind of analysis in action, breaking down how the foot behaves under load.
It’s not just a running thing. The same applies to everyday walking and gym training, anywhere load exceeds capacity.
It’s why foot and lower limb assessment is now standard in how I evaluate pain and injury, and why I built my own assessment tool to test that link properly rather than guess.
Strong, capable feet support a more resilient body above them.🏃🏻♂️
