World PT Day is coming up on 8 September 2026.

What is it and why does it matter?
World Physiotherapy was founded on 8 September in 1951, with the date designated as World PT Day in 1996. Since then, the day has marked unity and solidarity among the global physiotherapy community, and has provided an opportunity to recognise and promote the work of physiotherapists.
