Bundu Tattoo is shutting down permanently…
I just wanted to thank any and all people that supported my artistic journey as a tattoo artist for the past 20 years… I started tattooing at the age of 25 and I’m now 45 years in the shade and there is no shade.
My journey of tattooing began as an artist looking for a way to make daily income until the day that I could afford to follow a true passion which is Wildlife Art for conservation which I believe is my calling.
Tattooing allowed me to move to a town that has been pivotal in my life’s journey. I met my amazing wife Tami Putter through tattooing, from which spawned 3 amazing sons, Thorne, Callum and Hunter, some of my best friends have been found through my journey. Tattooing gave me the time and freedom to start the NPO Rocking For Rhinos which allowed me to truly push my own personal boundaries and passion for big events, production and conservation.
I’ve tattooed at bike rallies, air shows, out of peoples bedrooms, restaurants, bars, in hotel rooms, at music festivals and have opened more tattoo studios than I like to think about.
For those that know me really well you would know that that tattooing is actually an extremely stressful undertaking for myself… I’m such a perfectionist as an artist and I often feel as though I can never achieve in tattoos what I can achieve on canvas or paper in my own time, which often leaves me doubting my own skills as an artist which is unhealthy for my own being… this hasn’t changed in 20years of tattooing. I have now found my calling and space as a Wildlife Artist and conservationist and have indeed had my own personal highlight in tattooing when I was flown to Kenya by Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line to tattoo a Elephant on him while he was on Holiday with family.
I never set out to be the best tattoo artist in the world… it was always a stepping stone to my career as Wildlife Artist… what I can say now is that I do aim to be the most influential Wildlife Artist the world has ever seen and I aim to use my influence and future successes to create some of the most exciting conservation projects events and projects the world has ever seen.
With much love and true respect and sincerity… thank you to all those that have supported my journey up until this point.
Onwards and upwards! 💥🙏🏼
